Administrative Assistant
Hours: 7-8 hours/week (Tuesday- Friday)
Flexible schedule
$15/hour, no benefits
Responsibilities:
- Supports work of the Library Director
- Maintains records
- Collecting and counting money; preparing bank deposits
- Professionally edits documents and other correspondence as assigned
- Opens and sorts mail
- Prepares packet of documents for library board meetings
- Opens Library book orders and verifies delivery
- Processes Library materials for circulation
- Files materials as assigned.
- Performs other appropriate duties within the scope of the classification
Necessary Qualifications:
- Some college and relevant work experience required
- Excellent writing skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and including demonstrated proficiency using Excel
- Skills in operation of standard office equipment and computers
- Skills in basic mathematics
- Must be able to demonstrate the organizational and administrative skills necessary to keep files in order
