Administrative Assistant

Hours: 7-8 hours/week (Tuesday- Friday)

Flexible schedule

$15/hour, no benefits

Responsibilities:

  • Supports work of the Library Director
  • Maintains records
  • Collecting and counting money; preparing bank deposits
  • Professionally edits documents and other correspondence as assigned
  • Opens and sorts mail
  • Prepares packet of documents for library board meetings
  • Opens Library book orders and verifies delivery
  • Processes Library materials for circulation
  • Files materials as assigned.
  • Performs other appropriate duties within the scope of the classification

Necessary Qualifications:

  • Some college and relevant work experience required
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and including demonstrated proficiency using Excel
  • Skills in operation of standard office equipment and computers
  • Skills in basic mathematics
  • Must be able to demonstrate the organizational and administrative skills necessary to keep files in order
